Apex Account Reset
I had a level 500 Apex account on Xbox that I wanted to play on my PC after cross progression was released. My PC Apex account was under a different EA ID, so I unlinked my Xbox account from its old EA ID in hopes of linking it to my current one. After doing this, all my progress was reset, and I was informed this was because my Xbox account data was linked to my old EA ID rather than the Xbox account. I was told by a community manager that relinking my Xbox account to the old EA ID would restore my account, but after having EA support do this for me, my Xbox account is still level 1. Further conversations with support has informed me that this is because the PC data on that old EA ID (which is a brand new account because I never played Apex on PC with that account) had become the main account for that EA ID in terms of progression, and that there’s nothing I can do to restore my Xbox account’s player data. This doesn’t make sense to me because I never got the cross progression screen pop up that lets me choose what account I want to use for progression. Is it true that all my player data is entirely gone, overwritten by my untouched PC account? I find it hard to believe that an entire account can just be wiped that easily, especially when purchases have been made on it.
Hello @vvhathegg,
when you relink your account, there's always the chance that the progress cannot be restored - relinking your account to the original account is the only way to get your progress back, but there's no guarantee. The fact that it messes with your account is also highlighted in the original unlinking warning that you get when you unlink and also in this article:

Unfortunately, if Support checked your account and told you that it's been overwritten, then there's nothing that can be done.
