Exact same error, exact same incorrect hash.
Changing Sound Settings doesn't work.
No updates for any drivers needed.
Literally has sound when loading the Respawn logo/EA logo.
EA Desktop too, so no ability to try the other fix through the game properties which appears to be changing the language to Japanese and then changing it back to English.
Also, only seems to have happened with the newest release, I downloaded an update yesterday I assume for the Evolution Collection Event, but could access/play Apex before that forced a download. (Fun fact, also had to reset cache multiple times in the EA Desktop app because it thought the update had downloaded but froze at 100%. Had to force restart then clear cache then redownload to finally get the patch installing cleanly).
Same exact issue, what's going on EA??
I uninstalled the EA Desktop App and when I double-clicked on Apex Legends it reverted back to loading with Origin.
All problems have gone away.
Figure it out EA, you're a billion dollar company...wtf?
