Apex Crashing when Launched

Apex Crashing on Launch

Since the most recent update, Apex has crashed after launching, and I have been unable to log in and play. From steam, I initiate the game, the launcher starts, the anti-cheat runs, and then when Apex starts to run, it does not appear and the program shuts down on its own after 5-10 seconds. I have tried all of the basic troubleshooting possible, including everything in this blog https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Zeels-in-depth-Troubleshooting-Guide/m-p/8306647#M72353.

If I uninstall/reinstall the game, the crashes continue. I've reset all background processes and not installed anything new on my machine since I was last able to play the game. Are there any other suggested fixes for the game crashing? I tried to attach the crash logs to this post but the extension type wasn't accepted.

Please help!

  • Are you using any launch parameters for Apex? (e.c fps caps, reticle colors, showpos)

If so, check your launch options and try to remove the "+reticle_color" parameter, this should fix your problem.

    Steam

    Origin

Well I don't really know where to find it, though you can get there by right clicking the game and navigating from there.

This might be useful for future posts:

    The supported attachement formats are:

    • pdf
    • docx
    • mpp
    • xls
    • ppt
    • pttx
    • rar
    • txt
    • log

I'm unsure if other formats work like cfg and so forth, though this is information I've gathered directly from the site.

Found a fix but not a perfect one : download " autoruns" on Google, open it and go in the "driver" part. Here, u'll see a few drivers in red. Right click and select jump to image. Then move that driver away, in a new file in the driver file for example. Do that for all the red driver you have the authority to move, then launch the game.

The only issue is that u have to put back the drivers in their original file before u shut down ur PC or it'll create an error when u boot it up again ( error that can be fixed by an analysis and reparation of the PC, not a PC breaking error )

    Hope it works for you
