APEX does NOT work with Ethernet Connection but works on WiFi
If I use an Ethernet cable in the back of my ps4 I will sit in the loading screen of a lobby before getting kicked back to the menu where I get the error code:wheel or code:clock. But when I unplug the Ethernet cable and switch my network settings to the WiFi coming from the router that the Ethernet cable is plugged into, it works. My WiFi is too slow to play, so I need the Ethernet to work.
I know it is not my cable because all other games are working perfectly. I have also tried changing my DNS settings to no avail.
- This may be more of an issue for your ISP, but i'd definitely start by power cycling your router. Sometimes weird issues happen due to something cached locally.
I actually had a broadly similar issue myself this morning, I could play youtube and netflix without issue, but online games wouldn't connect. A quick power cycle sorted it, and hopefully it does you too.
