Apex forces my PC to soft restart

I recently had a PC built and whenever I launch Apex, it makes a sort of whining sound and eventually resets itself, but the computer itself doesn't turn off.

My specs are:
Windows 10
Asus B550-A  motherboard
AMD 5800X processor
Nvidia 3090 GPU
32 gb of RAM
750 watt power supply
and I have a cpu cooler

It's not an issue with the temp because everything rests around 55 Celsius when it launches the game, and I can play Cyberpunk at ultra for hours so I don't think its an issue with allocating power.

Suggestions would be appreciated,
Thanks

Thanks for giving that a shot as well.

Are you running Apex Legends through Origin, or do you use Steam?

Would it be possible to try installing Apex Legends through Origin to test and see if the same issue keeps happening? If you're able to give that a try please let me know how it goes.

  • I used Origin this time and it seemed a little more stable but still reset.

Do you currently overclock your CPU or GPU? If so, can you try reverting them back to the factory clock speeds to test and see if that makes any difference?

  • I've never overlocked either of them, I prefer to keep everything standard.
