when I'm using a 1024x768 resolution, the game works fine especially on the firing range, but when I use a custom resolution and boot up firing range when I spawned the game freezes, is that normal? Thanks!

Just to confirm, these are resolutions you're having to set through the game config files? 

video config and the launch options so yeah

Gotcha. You may have to use the resolutions that are listed in the actual in-game options. Forcing the game to run in other resolutions can have some weird side effects, I'm afraid.

the last question, will the lod bias improves my fps or not?

I've never tried it myself, but I've seen people say it can help on less powerful GPUs.
