Apex Legends cannot start

Apex Legends does't launch.

I have found a solution to get it to start by myself, but if it is a bug, please fix it !

I am also posting this for those who are experiencing similar symptoms.
I do not guarantee the safety of the software, so please try it at your own risk.

Situation

After the EasyAntiCheat loading screen reaches 100%, a full-screen screen is drawn for a moment, and then it immediately crashes. (The opening movie does not play either.)

*1 Assuming that the full screen is somehow the cause, adding “-windowed” to the game startup options causes the opening movie to play.
However, the following error dialog appears and the game cannot be started after all.

Also, if you leave the game with the error dialog, the opening movie will end playing,
The loading screen (Apex logo appears in the lower right corner of the screen) stops after the opening movie finishes playing.
I left the system in this state for about 20 minutes, but there was no improvement.

Solution (As mentioned above, this is a self-initiated solution, so please implement at your own risk.)

1. Open C:\Users\<User name>\Saved games\Respawn\Apex\assets\patch\paks\Win64
2. Rename the following two files. (possibly this step is not necessary, but it has not been tested)
   script_client(02).rpak → script_client.rpak
   script_ui(02).rpak → script_ui.rpak
3. Change security settings for Win64 folder
   1. Right click on the Win64 folder → Properties
   2. Security -> Edit(E)... →Add🍸... Open
   3. Enter "Everyone" in the “Enter the name of the object to add” field and click OK
   4. Click Deny in the “Full Control of Everyone” line and OK
4. Start Apex with the above steps completed.
   Now Apex starts without error. (Both Steam and Origin versions have been confirmed to be improved.)

The latest version as of 2024/9/22.
