Apex Legends causes CPU to spike to 90-100 degrees Celsius.
Anytime I launch Apex, my cpu temps immediately spike to over 90 degrees Celsius and then remain at that temperature for hours. Even if I shut down the game and turn off my pc, it takes hours for it to finally cool back down. As long as I don’t launch Apex, my cpu temps are fine, I’ve played lots of other games with no issues. I’ve tried the “set affinity” fix, and even tried setting the priority for the easy anti-cheat to low as well. I lowered my CPU output from 100% to 80% to see if it would help, and even did a thorough dusting of my entire pc, but nothing seems to work. I run the game on the lowest graphics settings in borderless windowed mode. I’ve checked my CPU usage after launching the game and it doesn’t seem out of the ordinary. It’s only my CPU temperature that goes to extreme levels. If I don’t shutdown the game or turn off my pc and attempt to continue playing even at these high temps then my pc will do the safety shutdown before I can even get into a game.
This sounds like very much a computer related issues if it heats up under heavy load. You should check that your cpu cooling is working as it should. Basically this issues has nothing to do with the game you are playing.. It heats up by using any application if that application is using computer resources...
