Yep, that was the problem. No crashes since, played for a few hours straight with no issues since the work around.
I'm going to try switching to fullscreen and see if that helps, I'll report back!

Fullscreen setting not working for me. Still mid game crashes. Right after crash Im having connectivity issues with Apex cloud. Servers issiue? Game is unplayable right now. Waiting for some patch.
Okay, so, going Fullscreen definitely helped with overall game smoothness. But the game continued to freeze for a few seconds, and then crash with a server connectivity issue message. And I also checked and apparently the servers have been having issues both today and yesterday. It might be best to just wait a little bit until this all gets sorted/patched.
Alright Alright i actually solved the problem So the real thing is That you may be getting a cloud synching error when launch apex legends to fix it, launch the litteral game from origin launcher its gonna give you a sort of synching update before it launches i believe it should fix itself after that

Exact same thing happening to me, and we've got the same processor.

- FX-6300
- 16GBs ram
