So, what worked for me on GTX 1070, Ryzen 7, was to:
1. disable all forms of vsync.
2. rollback to nvidia 417.71.
3. set (in nvidia ctrl pnl) power management to adaptive.
4. disable AO, Volumetric Lighting, and Adaptive resolution ingame. All are generally resource hogs and totally uneeded in fast paced fps.
5. turn off Usage Sharing (gen. settings)
For all I know, it was simply the graphical changes that rendered my game stable... but it works as-is, so, I shall leave it be.
Note: All 8 cores still hitting 80+% at 4.4 GHz. But hey... what can ya do?
That's it. Maybe I got lucky, but I went from crashing immediately upon dropping to totally crash free in 5 hrs of gaming. GOOD LUCK!
Also crashes randomly (today after only 2 games), no error message, just a freeze and then the game is gone ☹️
