Windows error reporting shows a 'bad_module_info' for each of these crashes to desktop. Found at least one site that says to disable fullscreen optimization to fix that for previous games on Source.
Right click game icon, properties, compatibility tab, Settings section at bottom is a checkbox for 'Disable fullscreen optimizations'.
I'd say that's worth a try.
i repaired the game via origin, disabled full screen optimization ,and turned off V-sync ...

I have never had vsync on in the game, have had origin in game disabled for many days now, and just tried that full screen optimization disabling. Very first game I was in I crashed midway through it.

I changed the compatibility of the game .exe to be Windows 7 and that fixed the crash issue for me at least for now.

Get back to us when you've tried like 10 games with that and see if it still holds true. I've tried some fixes and think they work only to realize I just got lucky a few games.

3 PCs in the house.
All latest win10 and are 100% stable in all latest games 3tb worth on each pc.
Amd gpu's are running the latest optional that supports apex
I7 7700
8gb DDR4
MSI mboard
RX580 overclocked
- no issues
I5 7600
8gb ddr4
7970
- frequent crashes
- swapping to the rx580 makes no difference. Seems to be cpu related as it's the same mboard as the 7700.
Another is an older 4th gen i5.
Gtx 960
- no issues but has issues every now and again sitting on the loading screen for an excessive amount of time- 6 years ago
Yeah I seem to be crashing out every 5-10 games always at some point during the launch stage at the beginning of a match.
CPU always spiked to 100% whenever it happens.
i5-2500K OC'd to 4.5GHz
AMD R9 390 8GB
Game runs buttery smooth on high when it works. But this is getting frustrating and I feel bad for my squad each time.
No error message, just straight crash to desktop
Edit: On latest 19.2.1 drivers

I've played five games and this seems to have worked for me so far.
