Same problem I have a xfx r9 280x. Everything is updated and running fine with other games, the first and second day of playing everything was fine and now every couple of matches everything freezes and I have to turn of the computer. I can still access windows but I can't in any way close the game. Help?
For anyone still having the issue, try going into your sound icon on bottom right > righ click > Sound > Playback and disable any output device not in use (don't forget to right click show all disconnected / deactivated devices).
Haven't had any crash for a while with this method

Ok anecdotal, but I tried disabling my second monitor and so far so good. Will update if I crash again.
Playing in fullscreen mode, with origin overlay off.

Edit: Still crashed after launching from the ship about 6 games in ☹️

I was also able to fix the crashing by changing the .exe compatibility settings to launch in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode. Perhaps unrelated but I also had a Windows feature update pending to version 1809.
Have played for well over 10 games now with no crashes, was previously crashing once every 1-2 games.
