I'm not sure, but it seems like they are aware of it. I really hope they are working on it and we get an update that fixes it. Part of me thinks it's going to stay like this considering its EA
That's exactly what's happening to me as well, it just closes instantly - like i alt+f4'd (which i obviously didn't)
I've tried everything you've mentioned too, nothing is working. It really bugs me that NOONE seems to know what's causing this yet.. and I fear that they won't be fixing this anytime soon.
The fact that all the biggest streamers playing without any crashes, kinda tells them it's working OK enough for them to not bother..for now at least.
It's sad, when there are a LOT of ppl out there (right here) that wants to play apex legends BADLY, and can't... I kinda wanna smash my fist through my monitor, and start doing drugs again.. j/k aside.. but yeah, almost..
Same issue with a

No crashes
Lol I just figured out what is happening.
If you run the game in Full screen windowed mode and in windows 8/7 compatibility mode, the game doesn't actually crash when it freezes. If you tab out when it freezes and wait a bit it will come back to life and give you a Lost connection to server error message.
Server must be under soo much load that it freezes your client.

i'll inform u guys when if it happen...
I have never had vsync on in the game, have had origin in game disabled for many days now, and just tried that full screen optimization disabling. Very first game I was in I crashed midway through it.
I changed the compatibility of the game .exe to be Windows 7 and that fixed the crash issue for me at least for now.

Get back to us when you've tried like 10 games with that and see if it still holds true. I've tried some fixes and think they work only to realize I just got lucky a few games.
Device hung and errorless crashes here. 8700k/RTX 2080.
Things I tried that did not work:
- Different drivers and DDDU- TdrDelay and CpuPriorityClass registry edits
- Disabling GSync- Disabling all overclocks
- Lowering in-game options
- Repairing via Origin
- Disabling all overlays/external programsThing I tried that seems to work:
- Limiting GPU power limit to 50% in MSI Afterburner
This of course costs fps and is a crappy solution, but it mitigates the crashes. This game is causing problems when these cards draw over a certain amount of power, I think. No other games are having this problem. Please give us a patch; your game is very good.
I also had the problem and tested every possible fix - nothing helped!!! But what helped was simply reducing the max framerate in my driver setting to get your graphic card not maxxed out! Runs like a charm now - used to crash every other game!
