Just to clarify why your progress seems to have been reset here, this is almost always due to unlinking a platform or linking one to a different EA account. It looks like that's the case here as well.
Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like Steam. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress and it will appear to have reset. In this case you've never accessed Apex Legends on this EA account until your Steam was linked here just recently.
While you've played on that Steam account, it was linked to a different EA account at the time. That is where your progress would be stored, so you'd need to re-link this Steam back to the original EA account rather than this newer one.
We are not able to make any changes to your account status or progress via the forums, but if something was linked or unlinked incorrectly it may be worth contacting support to see if the original platform can be re-linked.
