Apex Legends FPS Instability Problem

Apex Legends runs around 130 FPS on high with a 2070 (1920x1080).

You could tweak some in-game settings.

If possible check your performance of your CPU and GPU. 

If you are using a laptop, check if you are not on battery saving mode.

I am currently using my settings on low just because I want higher fps in general but I do have 30-40fps on both low and high settings I tested that. There was no problem until today. I have no issues on any other games too. If you still think it's because of my CPU and GPU how can I check their performance?

I'm having the exact same issue, never had huge issues with FPS until today.

In training its totally fine, consistently 120, I get into a game and its down to 20-25 with massive input lag.

Is something happening because of the update? I've asked some friends and they havent noticed anything but there's nothing wrong with my PC whatsoever. Every other game works fine and normal.

Yes me too i got the same problem just today i was playing on 180 fps and then i take a break then i come back, the fps went between 40 and 30 ... that's crazy 

All of sudden (tonight) after 382 hours in Apex, FPS went down in game to 30 or even less. Also in menu it used to be 144 FPS for me, but now 90. It's stuttering heavily while in match, making it unplayable.

Thank you for the posts. Can I check if you've had these issues since the patch on the 3rd (about 10AM PST) or if they started more recently?

Also can I check if there were any Windows updates that completed before this started, or updates to any software with an overlay, or that runs in the background?

If you try restarting with a Clean Boot, and play with just Origin and Apex open, does that bring your FPS back to normal levels?

Edit: Can you try restoring defaults for your video settings and see if that helps, then turn your settings back to normal and see if any particular variable (like dynamic V-sync or unlocking a frame rate) has an effect?
