The first thing I did was to CLEAN install the new Nvidia Drivers which were released on 2/13 (418.91). I did not install the Geforce Experience.I haven't done this since I'd say about two month ago I've already cleared out old drivers and such.
2. Performed a FRESH install of APEX Legends, making sure to completely delete all saved information.
First thing I did but using Revo Uninstaller pro to delete the extra files left behind when normally uninstalling
3. Disabled Origin In-Game options as well as added the +fps_max command in the advanced launch options for Apex. I set mine to 100 because, why not?
Second step I did from "+fps_max Unlimited" to just "+fps_max".
4. Once in game, I set my VRAM to 6GB or the HIGH setting as I have my video settings all high except Sun Shadow Coverage, Sun Shadow Detail and disabled volumetric lighting and dynamic spot shadows.
Did a different approach with this, using 4GB instead of 6GB within the video settings(Texture streaming budget) since im running everything on low/disabled
5. Once I made all of those changes, I exited the game then went to the R5Apex.exe file in the Origin Games folder and made sure to set compatibility mode for Windows 7 and to Run as Administrator.
Done this as well!
6. I then restarted my computer and launched and crossed my fingers!Too impatient, didn't bother but to my surprise it worked like a charm after a couple of games!
Hope this helps!
Edit: forgot to mention but initially I've been getting non stop (which seemed like every game or two) crashes with 0x000000 / 0x3f7ce737 referenced memory not being read
Just wanted to drop by and say thank you! this actually helped me and got me playing for hours (finally!)
my specs:
OS: W7 x64
i7 4770K 3.5GHZ
16GB DDR3-1600 CL9
GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB

This Legend was able to get around the error with those specific steps above. We'll need to gather some some information below for our experts to take a deeper look into this.
Please respond back with the following if you're getting a referenced memory error:
- Attach your DxDiag to your reply. Click here on how to do that
- Are you on Windows 10, 7, 8, or 8.1?
- Do you have the latest updates installed for Windows and your drivers? (Yes/No) Click here on how to check
- Confirm you are unable to play under these settings:
- Lower Texture Streaming Budget within the game's settings to low
- Play in borderless windowed mode
- Cap your frame rate (most people are having success at 60 and 75)
- Go to origin->game library->right click on Apex ->Game properties->advanced->and put in Command line arguments: +fps_max 75
- Disable any overlays such as Discord and/or Origin In-Game
- Set Anti-Cheat priority to low in Task Manager.
- Launch the game.
- Open Task Manager by typing CTRL + ALT + DELETE
- Go to Details tab>Find Easy Anti-Cheat program and right click>Set priority to low.
*Please respond back with this information only so we can get it forwarded to our relevant teams for investigation*
Those were some of the first things I did. Multiple people have responded after that and said that these steps did not fix the problem.
I can confirm that I've tried steps 1 through 6 of those steps, with all other options.
For example, I have tried several different drivers in step 1, several different values in step 3, and several different options in step 4.
It isn't a reproducible fix, tons of people on this thread have done those exact steps and it did not work.
My full report with my dxdiag and much more information is found in this comment.
@JMUTowleeThat just means it didn't work.

Here are some additional steps I found that worked for Legends in this discussion: https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/axratq/nvidia_driver_41935_for_apex_legends_fixes_dxgi/
Can you try these next? The DxDiag you have attached shows your C drive close to being full. I've seen others with memory errors/crashes when their C drive was low on space. Can you clear some things up so you're over 30GB?
- Lower Texture Streaming Budget from the in-game settings to Low or NONE
- Lower Ambient Occlusion
- Disable Anti-Aliasing
- Disable Volumetric Lighting
- Lower Spot Shadow Detail
- Disable V-Sync
- Disable Origin and Discord overlays
- Uninstall Nvidia Shadowplay
- Change from Take No Action to Restart The Service (Some users might have it already set to Restart The Service so it’s worth checking). https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/arbqhw/apex_legends_crash_fix_try_this/

@EA_BlueberryDid all those steps and it doesn't help. It's not that the game doesn't run, it seems to leak something somewhere and eventually crash. I'm not techsavvy enough to pinpoint it, but afterwards my PC actually needs like 5 minutes to run properly again, because it slows down EVERYTHING. So yes, lowering settings and disabling programs obviously makes it crash less, because it takes more time to fill up whatever it is filling up. But then it crashes anyway and keeps crashing, consistently with the reports so far.
If i start it an hour later, i can again play for a short while, but it crashes eventually the same way. I tried all the solutions, could you finally forward it to the devs???

It's been sent up for investigation. I went back through all the pages in this post and grabbed links to all the replies that help fix this for others to share with everyone here in case those were overlooked. I asked for DxDiag reports a while back and we are currently at 4 total. If any experiencing this can please attach a DxDiag report that would help us greatly. Seems like an extremely frustrating error to come across, especially if you were in a close game. We'll report back as soon as we can on this.

I am also getting this crash more frequently (three games in a row). It happens when I jump out of the drop ship, turn my legend too fast, looting items, etc, and otherwise for no apparent reason such as standing in a location. I am running on a windows 7.
This is a coding problem.
I doubt any workarounds will fix it.
Very frustrating problem! I keep getting this very randomly. Yesterday evening crashed only once in a ca. 10 games and this morning I have gotten it 4 times in 5 games??? Super random memory crash. Doesn't matter if its early game or late game, no pattern to be seen ☹️
Attached my dxdiag text here.
Enjoying the game when it works but this is very frustrating and also super annoying to squadmates when you never know if you can finish the round or crash.
Error numbers on crash screen are different almost everytime.

@EA_BlueberryAh, my bad on the C Drive thing, thank you for taking a look.
It was fully because the final troubleshooting steps I took prior to the dxdiag were to set my pagefile to different values, and I tested at many points, ending at using the entirety of my space as virtual memory. It did not resolve the crashes at any point.
Should have undone that before the dxdiag, my apologies.
I can confirm I have tried the steps listed. As for the graphics settings, I've tried all the available options and [most] possible combinations of them. Always played with only Apex Legends open, no shadowplay nor geforce experience nor discord. Only Origin minimized to taskbar, and Apex itself. EasyAntiCheat was already configured to Restart The Service.
I'm not getting the crashes anymore, only because I installed Windows 10 dualboot and switch to w10 only to play Apex. Issue only happens on Windows 7 and out-of-date builds for W8.1/W10.
I'm just posting here still to facilitate the process, since it caused me a headache and a half before playing on Windows 10.
Edit: Just saw the latest page. Thank you very much for the transparency, I appreciate you letting us know that you've forwarded our results!
Also want to mention that I'd be happy to boot to Windows 7 and provide a dxdiag without my pagefile filling my C drive like my last one had. This didn't affect the issue at any value from none to max, but if it's needed I can.

I also have the same issue. Here is my DxDiag.
This issue didn't seem very prevalent at launch, like 1 in 20 games for me, now it's quite frequent... sometimes 5 games in a row
Similar to other user's experience, my errors primarily occur most frequently when a.) dropping from the drop ship b.) turning the screen quickly ... although occasionally near the end of the match booo
Have tried some of the suggested fixes in this thread but not all.
- 7 years agoMy crashes come usually in the late game, nice... 5 games tonight and 3 crashes. All TOP3 situations. Please fix this, very frustrating to let my team down all the time!
here you go :]
The number of crashes increased tremendously since tuesday (03/05). Happened in all my matches today, even after I tried every suggestion I could find here. I used to play be able to play normally with medium-high settings too, so its very strange.
dxdiag in case it helps somehow

new nvidia driver : https://www.millenium.org/news/325818.html
But same issue.
I lowered to 6GB in game settings and fps max 75 and no crash. Nice workaround.
