Xbox One Apex game/Party Issues

Every time I try to play in a party online since this latest update, my game freezes and doesn't allow me to join the game lobby. The chatbot is utter **bleep** and useless when trying to get an answer on how to fix it. I don't typically have issues when playing solo, but that's not why I play this game. I have it play with friends online. Since this latest season update I can't even do that. Beyond frustrating at this point. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
