Let's see if we can find out why this is happening. First, do you play on a wired or wireless connection? Also, has it been a while since you power cycled your equipment? If so, try doing it now with these steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
I've played Apex from s1 to s9 and this stuttering and freezing is now becoming unplayable,absolutely nothing to do with resetting router's and consol s the game's broken and it needs a patch ASAP.I reckon that must people who do not have a new xbox will be experiencing the same issue s and will be now saying RIP to Apex.
@sy1210 @thedowney11 @dxrockxstar @Redmattgame @Joebitoo and everyone else- @hggrreew1111 to me it is crazy they need evidence. Literally turn on an Xbox One and hop in a game!!!! It is just rage inducing they don't just own up to it or even take note of the highly upvoted threads on reddit about it and we know they frequent their own reddit quite often.
Apex has become unplayable with this consistently annoying lag causing us to lose gunfights. It’s not on any single one of us, it has the do with respawn and the ability to run it on the old consoles such as xbox one. If it doesn’t get fixed soon Apex will be losing a lot of players from this
- @SammyD32600 I have ps4 and I decided to buy an xbox one to buy the ultimate game pass, and when playing apex legends on xbox one I thought the console was damaged, and thanks to this post I realized that it is the xbox one apex that is bad, in ps4 the game is going great and on xbox one in forums and social networks they mention that you must buy the next generation console, can I really play well on ps4 and to play apex on xbox it must be the last generation? I think that part of the fault is Microsoft and not only EA, I heard that they are lazy to optimize the games, and it happens with Red Dead Redemption 2 and gta v online has very low fps and looks laggy. sorry for my grammar since I speak Spanish, and I translated it with google.
- @NENECRACKING Unfortunately its happening on PS5 as well. So that is a little odd that it is last gen for Microsoft and current gen for Sony.

I bought a PS5 back in April this year & have experienced the same performance issues ie lag spikes,stuttering etc that I get on my PS4 & Xbox One pretty much through most of season 9 & into season 10.There hasn't been any next gen upgrades for either the Xbox X/S or PS5 so far & it doesn't look like happening anytime soon.

I work in IT, I know my networking, this is NOT network related. This is 100% the game, I ask every player who has a mic and they experience it too. Little half second stutters/freezes and it gets worse in combat which, as you imagine, leads to lost fights that I otherwise would have won. This is the only game I play and I'm about to delete the game because it's so frustrating.
We know EA doesn't really care much about fans, but you're about to ruin an awesome game and lose a lot of players from this.
Please would all the people who have tried the external SSD option and found it to work/not work post their comments. This would help the community out by giving us the stats if its a 100% cure to the stuttering and lagging issue.
Sure it will help the community. But If this is a 100% fix it will suck imo. Forcing people to buy an ssd to property play? Publisher should properly fix performance issues for all platforms. Give us options like "performance mode" or "graphics mode" etc. Probably best to have this issue be known more. Even tho it is nice that the community can solve the issue. I don't think we should be the ones to fix the problems / paying for it when it worked for earlier seasons.
