The cross progression used an incorrect account as the main progression

It turns out that when the cross-progression option was released, there was an error with my account that I can't resolve. To give you some context, I started playing Apex Legends on PlayStation (Progression A) with my EA account. After a while, I had to migrate to Xbox, where I used my EA account again, but now with a different progression (Progression B). It turns out that all my important progression is on PlayStation, but my progression on Xbox is very low. When the cross-progression option was released in Apex Legends, my Xbox progression B was used as the primary one (it's worth noting that it's a lower level than the other one and has fewer hours and stats), and I want to use my PlayStation progression.

I've already tried contacting EA customer support, but they told me that my PlayStation progression disappeared. Others didn't offer a solution, some didn't know what to do, and others told me to stay tuned for updates on my case.

I stopped playing Apex Legends for the same reason: I think it's a waste of time to play on an account where I'm practically back to square one, instead of progressing beyond the level I dedicated time to and even spent money on.

If they say it disappeared, it means I lost stats, achievements, and cosmetic items since Apex's release.

Thanks if you read this, and sorry if it's not very clear; I'm not a native English speaker, so I'm not very fluent in the language.

    Hey LC_Lobs

Sorry to hear your progress seems to have been lost on PlayStation. Usually when this happens, it's due to unlinking a platform or linking one to a different EA account.

Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress and it will appear to have reset. Progress cannot be moved between different accounts.

It looks like that's what has happened here as well. I see you mentioned playing on PlayStation initially before moving to Xbox later, but the EA account you're posting with never accessed Apex on PlayStation until after our Cross Progression announcement back at the end of 2023.

If you played Apex on PlayStation before that point, your PlayStation account was connected to a different EA account at the time. That other EA account is where your initial progress would have been saved. The Xbox progression was all you're seeing in this case because there is no PlayStation progression here - that was left on the EA account where your PlayStation was originally connected.

While it would unfortunately not combine your progress across two separate EA accounts, if something was linked or unlinked incorrectly it may be worth contacting support to see if the original platform(s) can be re-linked.

If it was indeed on the same EA account for both, it's a bit clearer to me what happened. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a solution at the moment. Do you think if I find the exact original EA account I could do the cross-progression?
