Apex legends resolution wont fully change

im trying to use 4:3 1400x1050 at 73 hz but whenever i select any 4:3 option my monitor still registers as 1920x1080 60hz and the game just sort of stretches, windows reports that it is using 1400x1050, its only apex that does this every other game i can get 73hz on any resolution, even when changing to 16:9 in apex anything lower than 1920x1080 registers as 1920x1080 60hz on my monitor.

For instance if i select 1600x900 73 hz in cs go it works fine and my monitor control panel will show im using 1600x900 73hz, but in apex it will register in game that im using 1600x900 but my monitor in reality is displaying 1920x1080 60hz and just down scaling the image.

It wouldnt be an issue if i was just playing at 1080 as it does display 73hz but i want to use lower resolutions to increase my fps a bit more
