Ping has got nothing to do with your network speed unless of course when its so slow(around 200kBps would be more than enough speed).Your ping depends on
1)your type of network (mobile network >dsl>cable>ofc). This the general order in which your ping will be based on type of network. Many a times the dsl, mobile network gives same latency(but 5g is gonna turn the tables).
2)your isp and how routing(i.e the path taken to reach the game server.shorter the better.) is done.Sometimes you can see that you get same ping higher or lower throughout the day. What i saw as a fix to this is try restarting your modem a couple of tmes till you get a better ping. Restarting helps in connecting to different dns servers of isp(one of those gives the best ping). If you want to know which one login to your modem settings and checkout after restarting each time, so that you won't always need to launch the game to know what ping you are gonna get.
3)hardwares like cables, router etc. These dont usually cause problems nor upgrading them is gonna give much of a difference.
4)Finally as you said the game servers.You are bound to get a higher ping especially considering the distance between Singapore and india.Only hope is to wait for them to have servers near india like which was the case with pubg pc lite.
I get around 100 to 150 ms with a 4g network which doesn't go over a speed of 200kBps.So definitely speed has nothing to do with ping.

The thing is u must be living in Mumbai region or the southern portion of India so your ping is quite low as compared to the North India people and as India having such a big player base I think India should get atleast 1 server. We north Indian people are literally getting high ping though I have no problem with ping being 70-110 but the problem is the bullet registration. Sometimes no matter how accurate is your R-99 spray is, some bullets don't register and the enemy doesn't get one clipped. And the novice players are taking it as an advantage exploiting the exit lag in the game.
Would it be packet loss?

I have 1ms independent ping, but I get 68-80ms in Bahrain 1 or 2 servers. Singapore servers have more packet losses.
Indian players should consider playing in Bahrain servers for better ping.
i usually get 40-60 ms and 2-4 % packetloss on singapore 1 sever but from a few days and i am getting 100+ ms on singapore 1 i thought it was my internet issue and connected my pc to my mobille hotpsot and opened the game but still i am getting 100+ms can anyone help me with this issue
- @Atomic1110 I am from Hyderabad, India. I am having a problem with Matchmaking. Is it something to do with the Apex servers or to connect with the servers should I use a VPN? I would appreciate if this question is answered. Thank you.

i personally play at 8-10 and i experience the worst pingthere is a solution to that which i discovered few days ago and its working for me and all of my friends and the solution is instead of downloading apex from steam downloading it from origin (the EA app) and u will face no lag or latency there it works for me and my friends
my speed test shows 1 - 3 ms but in game its 100 or 100+
yo i maybe a year too late to ask this but where in india do you live, and how do you get half my ping?
You must be from South so ping katency will be low
