Hello!
Yes, it solved the problem! In EA Client u go to: library->(installed)->apex->three points in the upper right cornerof apex symbol->property->advanced startup settings and there u have to insert the argument.
Good luck!
@Frontal021 & @shchitinka As you both had mentioned, you do go to the game's properties tab, and then to the game's launch options.
EA App:
- Head to “My Collection”
- Click on the three dots located in the upper right corner of Apex Legends
- Select “View Properties”
- Under Advanced Launch Options, add “-eac_launcher_settings SettingsDX12.json”, (without the quotes)
- Click on the Save button
Steam:
- Go to your library and right-click on Apex Legends
- From there, select "Properties"
- Add the line “-eac_launcher_settings SettingsDX12.json”, (without the quotes), to the Launch Options
- Close the properties window
Epic Games:
- Go to your library and right-click on Apex Legends
- From there, select "Manage"
- Turn on the "Launch Options" setting
- Add the line “-eac_launcher_settings SettingsDX12.json”, (without the quotes), to Launch Options
- Click out of the settings window
Note: If you have the game installed through the EA App, but are running it through Epic Games, you would enable the setting in the EA App, as Epic Games won't show the "manage" option when you right click on the game.

Hello!
No, dont do that - this is misleading.
There is no file named "SettingsDX12.json" - there is only a file named "Settings.json".
The right argument is: “-eac_launcher_settings Settings.json”, (without the quotes)
- 2 months ago@Frontal021 bro mine one still isn't working
- 2 months agoMy problem started yesterday after updating Apex Legends, after i updated it stopped working, whenever i'm starting its just loading the easy anti cheat pop up and then opening the EA App .

@Frontal021 Hmm, I use “-eac_launcher_settings SettingsDX12.json”, but I see that there's other arguments to use, such as "-anticheat_settings=SettingsDX12.json", so I'm sure which one we're suppose to use.
If “-eac_launcher_settings Settings.json” works for you, then use that instead.
@Frontal021, @shchitinka, & @Beventa For now, I would switch back to DX11, (which should just be removing the arguments from the launch options).I say that because there's currently a few issues with DX12 since the Astral Anomaly patch. For me, I'm having a lot of frame stuttering, while others weren't able to launch the game due to "SettingsDX12.json not found" or another similar error.
You can read more about the current issues with DX12 on @EA_Mako's thread here.
