to those saying upgrade their cpu i have a 4 core , 6 thread i believe core i5 8300h.. and since ive bought this laptop its been running apex legends on high settings with shadows / sun coverage/ light stuff disabled 100+ fps... but now this is happening.. i cant really upgrade the cpu of my laptop.. i have to fix this used to work fine for 2 years now
I'm in the same boat. Asus RoG Zephyrus G with an R7 R3750H and this has been a dream machine for Apex's usually meager requirements. Something broke yesterday, and now the game is completely *not* fun because my CPU just shoots to 100% on all cores every few seconds. Doesn't happen in firing range, or lobby... just on maps. Trying reinstalling the game now, but I'd really like to see a definitive answer to why this happens rather than "try EVERYTHING".

Try reinstalling windows and without installing any bloat ware just install apex and run the game- 5 years ago
Um, no? Everything else on this laptop runs amazing. If windows has to be reinstalled to fix Apex, goodbye Apex.

Well if you’re too ignorant to try that well that’s your problem stop wasting people time on the forum.
