Apex Legends VRAM Leak causing unstable fps
Hi, I have a performance issue in Apex.
PC: i7 2700k
12gb DDR3 1333mhz
FATALITY motherboard
Gigabyte RX 570 4gb
800w Corsair PSU
2 TB HDD + 246 SSD
Antec water cooler For CPU
I am 99% sure it is a vram leak and software related. I had two gpu with the same problem in Apex legends.
First it was a gtx 950 asus mini. The card works for about an hour performing 90-140 fps 720p and then drops tp 20-50 unstable fps.
Then I got a rx 570 4gb and it gave me the same problem in Apex.
I then got open msi afterburner and started monitoring. I saw that that the texture settings kept climbing no matter what setting U chose.
It went up to 4gb and then I saw A increase in RAM usage going from 6 to 10 gb.
I think the system ram is being used for vram after the 4gb vram tops out. Ram has a lot lower operating frequency thus causing performance fluctuation.
The game did this every time.
Temporary solution : setting the texture budget to none looked liked it capped the game at 2 gb vram usage.
I am hurting my eyes at the moment and need help pls.
I have benched both gpu and the scores are normal, also looked at temps, voltage, overclocking and undervolting, Psu and motherboard functionality
and everything checks out.
