Apex legends wont launch?
I downloaded it clicked play Screen pops up about something with cheat Then it wont launch Firewall problem?

There was an update and it finally implemented an error message.
I got: CPU does not have POPCNT!
I run a q8400...thats it, seems like no Apex for us, who run old CPUs.
POPCNT was implemented for Intel CPUs with the first i5/7 processors in 2008 (Nahalem structure).

It´s a bit of a shame, my CPU is from Q2 2009 but it just has the wrong microstructure :/
I bet POPCNT is just needed for the Anti cheat, the game itself dosn´t care at all about it :D

It seems problem is related somehow to the Eady anticheat solution. If I try to launch anticheat software it says it can't load the game.
- i think they dont care this problem . They say only unsupported cpu . Easy to say ffffffffffffffff
i mean should we expect a fix or are we just wasting our time here

- I am quite sure they can, and I hope they will. I googled a bit and some games(RE7) had the same problem and it was fixed.
We're talking about EA, not the best company for their customers... Wait 1 week, a decent game developer won't take much longer than that to solve the problem, if in 1 week it stays the same the only thing is just unninstall and play another thing.
Contacted EA and solved my problem by reinstalling the game. Uninstalled the game, restarted my PC, installed the game again and it works.
why? did they release a statement already?
- Just wasting time. EA is just being EA...
