Sorry for the late reply @Jobfinisher96
I dunno, man, I think maybe I installed Origin from a web link or somewhere and then I downloaded a different installer maybe? the one I installed has "_thin" in the name so I am assuming it is a different version.
the good news for me is that now the game starts... the bad news is that sometimes 2 minutes, sometimes 15 minutes in (usually as soon as I get hit) my entire PC reboots from the BIOS screen and when I get back into Windows it no longer recognises my GPU at all. Manually restarting Windows does nothing. The AMD settings app just says the GPU isn't there and all I can do is listen to those fans wail in the background. Only way to get the GPU back is to shut down my PC and power it up again.
Tried playing FarCry on Ultra settings @ 4K res and it runs smooth as butter... try playing Apex and I get stuttering cutscenes and stuttering character select screens and stuttering gameplay (even at lowest quality) and then I get my GPU completely ghosted in Windows. Only happens in Apex. Not sure I want to try playing it again now that I finally got it starting... Pity, game looks fun... but it seems it was not meant to be played by people using RX480 cards ☹️
