Apex news section in home screen is missing. No news section.

For the past few months the news section in the Home screen has been missing and I don't know how to fix it, I've tried multiple things and yet none of them worked. I even made a new account and for some reason it had the news but my actual account doesn't. I was going to buy the battle pass and the upcoming Halloween skins but I can't, in good faith, put money into a game that doesn't work. Please help me with this, I really want this fixed because it has been annoying me for the past few months. HELP.

Solution found: while watching a video to use stretched res, he said to tamper with some settings in the video config file in the local folder. That might have done it or switching the resolutions but now I have 16:9 res and the news. I don't know what affected or caused this change but thank you for everyone that helped me!!!

Store assets might've been corrupted, you'll have to manually delete them so the game can generate them again.
Press Windows Key + R
Put in %USERPROFILE% and select OK
Go to the Saved Games Folder
Navigate to the Respawn Folder
Navigate to the Apex Folder
Delete the assets folder
These files don't get repaired/deleted when uninstalling/validating via Steam or Origin, so this is probably one of the only ways to resolve it.
If you're on console, well, reinstalling the game might be asking a bit too much.
I've noticed a few others also report this issue on console, not sure if it's a bug in that case.

Hey, Thanks for the help. Sadly this didn't work for some reason. I use steam to play apex and my launch options are +exec autoexec.cfg +building_cubemaps "1" +fps_max 0 -novid. (if that helps).

Could you also share your autoexec, that way we can see which commands are being executed upon launch.
It's possible that this issue is just a bug, I've been seeing some more reports which might indicate that it's a bug, though I cannot confirm that yet.
Does launching the game without the launch options make the news section come back?

I only have one command in my autoexec, I remember having another one but I accidently deleted it. It is the120 fov command. cl_fovScale "1.7". That's it.

Yeah, I remember this happening around the time I stopped using stretched res, I don't remember ever unchecking those boxes but when I checked them, still nothing has changed.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: I SWITCHED BACK TO STRETCHED RES AND NOW IT IS BACK, BUT I DON'T LIKE STRETCHED RES ANYMORE SO WHAT NOW?

Possible problem causer was probably switching to 16:9 from 4:3 inside of the game settings instead of through files.
