apex not going fullscreen

my game for some reason does not go into fullscreen mode even though it shows that its on fullscreen in settings. It always launches in borderless fullscreen. i can switch between windowed and bordless but cant go into fullscreen exclusive. ive tried using the fullscreen command in launch option but that doesnt work either. pls help
