Apex Prediction!
Prediction ruining my game!
I'm a former and current comp player, had won a lot of esports tournaments in games like Quake, Crysis and etc. (dynamic first person shooters)
Few years i was suffering from unexplainable problems while playing Apex. Since start my gaming experience is out of mind: Non-stop lags, teleports, noregs, "superhuman" reaction enemies - EVERY SINGLE ONE. I tried every single "tweak" from the web. The simplest and the deepest ones. All Windows versions.
Changed 2 flats and tried out every single ISP provider there from FTTB to the Fiber in router (via sFP) - almost no changes. Tried all VPN and GPN services - no change. Sold my previous PC (9900KS+RTX2080Super+32GB2400RAM) and bought a new one (109000KF+RTX3080Ti+16GB3600MhzRam+Samsung M.2. 970 Evo Plus SSD) - game (fps) became smoother but no changes to network. Bought external gigabit network card - no visible changes.
On the new address game became smoother, reg is a bit better. But the main picture is still the same. Every single person on every server is Shroud drinking Red Bull for a week. Still every shot on the server causes lags, teleports, and etc.
Pre-last option was buying a "fancy" gaming router ASUS GT-AX11000. I installed AsusWRT Merlin and enabled CakeQOS. After this game became better depending on settings I randomly tried out. But it's still far from good. Ping s always at stable 35-70 (depends on the server). Had static IP, automatic IP, different authentification types (DHCP, PPPoE, IPoE). Benchmarked DNS servers and changed them to the best ones. Fixed MTU size. TCP optimizer, all possible windows and network tweaks on the planet. Had internetspeeds from 15 mbit to 2.5 GB per second up and down. Port Forwarding is working for all ports even for 9000, electricity - everythig is good.
The last option that i'm currently working on is autoexec file and adjusting the network settings for Apex manually.
!AND HERE WAS A BIG BANG!
When i disabled client prediction with "cl_predict 0", the whole game became a near fantastic, game of the dreams. Every single thing I can see and hear is absolutely fantastic without any further due)))
But like always there's a BUT) IT appears that it causes a huge input lag like 1-2 seconds or less and some kind of a curve that smoothing my movement. Everything is perfect except that delay that makes game unplayable.
P.S. BTW I wasnt lagging for myself or for my teammates. They see me and my movement smooth and clean, reg is good on me too = i dont lag for anyone, prediction is just ruining the game for me PERSONALLY.
In my opinion I identified a problem, but i can't find a way to keep predict 0 and real time with input.
