Apex Ranked (Ranked lag out penalty)

I am receiving abondon pentaly for lost internet connection. Any body else having this issue? I understand that people back out on purpose, but I was 30+ plus points positive when I lost connection and got a 10 minute abondon pentaly and a loss of 48 rp points for this. I was only like 50 points away from plat 4. Now I'm worried about playing ranked because I don't want to get punished if my internet disconnects. I thought during the season 4 unveiling that they said they could tell the difference between cheaters and internet connection problems.????????
