Apex refusing to run in 1440p

Hello hello!

What I'm trying to do is simple-sounding: run Apex Legends in the 2560x1440 resolution.

Now, you could say "Just switch it from whatever you use now to 1440p via the options menu 4Head", but here's the rub- the option doesn't exist for me anymore.

I do have a 1440p/144Hz monitor, before anyone asks. When I originally installed the game it played in 1440p with appropriate settings, but as I do I set it to 1080p fullscreen to see if the difference in looks and performance was worth it.

I forgot about this change after a while, but started to dislike the resolution-changing that would happen when I'd tab out of the game, so I went to change it back to 1440p Borderless and found that the slot for it(after 1080p) was completely missing. I've tried everything I can think of: repairing/re-installing the game, command line prompts to force it(which causes it to crash), & a little .cfg editing. All with no results.

You guys got any ideas?

  • Have you tried creating a custom resolution in the Nvidia control panel or whatever radeon uses?

Setting your own resolution seems to work for users who have trouble playing at certain resolutions.

  • I'm having the exact same issue. just updated my nVidia drivers today running a 1070
