Apex won't auto update(PS4)

I'm on ps4 and Apex won't auto update. I got it enabled in the settings and I've tried to rebuild my database but it will only update once I've tried to open the game. Please help

Try manually updating as follows:

From the game library, hover over the game you want to update.
Press the Options button on your controller. It should open the side menu.
Select "Check for Update."
If there's an update available, follow the instructions to install the update for that specific game.

2023, and this problem still hasn't been addressed? But you'll pander to the pro players the second they whine about the most minimal thing.

I agree with the O.P.

Bad business.
