Banned account...why??

I got banned and I don't know why....I don't even know if it's someone reported me or if it's Apex anti-cheat or some automatic tool (I have no idea how it works).

Of course I don't even know how to install or use cheats (my K/DR is 0.81!!!!) and I always play with random players and I usually mute them.

Reading online I've seen there's probably no solution, except waiting the TOS answer that I suppose will never arrive...anyway, I followed the instructions at https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/ and after that I got an email where EA kindly informs me that:

"We noticed that your EA account broke EA’s gameplay rules. Because your account was cheating, we’ve permanently blocked your access to Apex Legends’ online features."

That's it...no other informations...All I know is I didn't cheat. 

funny thing...after subscribing to this forum I keep getting funny and happy emails from Answers HQ where they congratulate with me for the new badges I earned...thanks so much, that helps a lot.

  • Today I got this email...they closed my case:

    We got your note and did a full investigation of your account. After reviewing your case, we determined that we took the correct action in accordance with EA policies and procedures.

    What this means

    We have confirmed that your account was involved in cheating. Because of this, we will not remove the sanction on your account.

    You break our rules(https://www.ea.com/terms-of-service#section6) if you:
    • use software that interferes with or disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
    • use undocumented features, exploits or cheats in-game that disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
    • use software or cheats that disconnects other users from the EA servers.

    So...still no details about how did I cheat and how they eventually found out or what a full investigation means for them ("you break our rules if you"....).

    I don't know anything about that.

    What do I know:

    1) I didn't cheat...I hate cheaters and I always reported them when I could;

    2) it's a free game but I paid money to unlock seasons and legends and if I did it it was also to support the developers because I thought they deserved it...now they'll keep my money?? ok...some people say they do it on purpose to make you pay more money but I don't believe it of course;

    3) I like the game and I'll do another account maybe but I will not pay for any legend or season this time because I can't know if mistakes like this could happen again in the future...so yeah..I'll just use the "basic" legends;

    4) this forum and the support team don't give informations;

  • Yep same. I get the same automated email now that the ToS will no longer review my case and they automatically close my tickets every single time. Idk what to do. Think I have to go to the BBB and complain about EA 

  • almost 7 months later.....I get this email:

    "Hello,
    We recently notified you about a sanction placed on your EA account. After further review, this sanction has been removed.

    What this means
    The previously communicated sanction has now been reversed.
    Thank you,
    EA Terms of Service"

    So:

    • I get banned without any explanation;
    • I know I didn't cheat, so I ask (2 times) to the TOS...no answers;
    • I ask here on this forum...no answers;
    • I miss I don't even know how many seasons and new characters;
    • I quit playing the game;

    now, after 7 months, they say that they recently notified me with a ban and now it's been removed (but no, they don't say they're wrong) and I don't even get some "we are sorry for the inconvenience" ???

    OMG! I am so sorry! I got banned today, too, for absolutely no reason! Now I see the future!! THIS IS CRAZY UNFAIR!

    Hey Charisma99​,

    I'm now closing this thread to limit further necroposting, as this is from 5 years ago and long since inactive. 

    It's always good to check the date of the previous response to see if the conversation is up to date before engaging.
