- @TheMidnightTav Do you have any updates pending on your OS or drivers?
Have you tried using a public DNS to see if this solves the issue? Checked for all windows updates and there was only 1 security patch. No change.
checked drivers for graphics card (3060) there was one update on 2/8/23. Installed, still no difference.
Don’t know anything about using a public DNS.
Changing to public DNS:
Change IPv4 DNS- Open the Control Panel from the Start menu
- Click Network and sharing Center
- Click Change adapter settings
- Right click on your active network adapter & choose properties
- Choose Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click properties
- Enter the new DNS servers into the boxes under “Use one of the following DNS server addresses”
Google:
The Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:- Primary: 8.8.8.8
- Secondary: 8.8.4.4
Cloudflare:
The Cloudflare Public DNS (IPv4) adresses are as follows:- Primary: 1.1.1.1
- Secondary: 1.0.0.1
Change IPv6 DNS:
- Open the Control Panel from the Start menu
- Click Network and sharing Center
- Click Change adapter settings
- Right click on your active network adapter & choose properties
- Go now to Internet Protocol Version 6.
- Click Properties
- Click Use The Following DNS Server Addresses.
- Remove any IP addresses that may be already listed and add one of the following
The Google Public DNS (IPv6) addresses are as follows:
- Primary: 2001:4860:4860::8888
- Secondary: 2001:4860:4860::8844
The Cloudflare Public DNS (IPv6) adresses are as follows:
- Primary: 2606:4700:4700::1111
- Secondary: 2606:4700:4700::1001
I did the DNS change to the google DNS numbers you provided. I am still getting bad connection, but was able to actually play through one entire match. Still had multiple points where I thought I was getting disconnected, but it ended up keeping me in the game. Does this mean I need to keep this as the permanent DNS?
