Cant find crossplay friends

I cannot search my cross platform friends at all when i go to search ther name it says no names found when we just played 1 day ago

    are they on your friendlist? you can't find your steam friends if they are offline but if they are in game it will show there name.

      not if you are cross platform. Im on xbox and i cant add or play with anyone on PC
