cant launch game

i just re-downloaded apex legends after awhile not playing the game and now, i cant launch the game because it says my resolution isnt supported, it tries to launch in window mode (1280x720). i have tried with the advanced launch options -full and -fullscreen but nothing, also, i have looked into the videoconfig file (i still had my previous save files) found these lines 

"setting.defaultres" "1920"
"setting.defaultresheight" "1080"
"setting.fullscreen" "1"

 but apparently, the game just ignores that completely and forces it to launch in window mode

any suggestions?
