Can't see my own chat messages

Yup boys and girls, another guy here who got the same issue and it came to me pretty random.

I thought it was because my friend who hosted the lobby is on Origin while I'm on Steam.

Nice to see other people got the same problem so we know this is a common bug.

Same here. I also see the red cross over the speaker symbol in the main menu but only when I am in a party with friends. I am on Steam and have this problem with both my accounts.

What I have tried so far:

• Verified integrity of the game files (twice)
• Reset all my settings by deleting/renaming the folder `<user>\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex`

it is not about server quality. they just lack the skills to make stable network.

The neareast servers (from where I live) hosting Apex Legends are the same Amazon/Google ones being used for the other massive-player battle royale games like Fortenite or PUBG and they are doing great while Apex Legends serves such a poor network quality even with the lesser player counts of 60.
