Can't start, uninstall or stop Apex

@Hinfrem Just to make sure: It runs from startup, even though its not selected as start up app. Even though my pc closes down, apex seems to not close.

I don't have the problem where the game starts automatically, but I do have the issue that many others are having where the game does not completely exit and seems to get stuck running likely due to an EAC bug:

This issue just started happening within the past few days.

The only recent significant changes are Windows 11 KB5020044 update and Nvidia driver 527.37.

I tried reverting to 526.98 but the problem still occurs so doesn't seem to be due to the latest driver.

This is crazy be cause I have a 13900K and logical core 1 (2nd thread on core 0) is stuck at 100% causing my fans to go nuts and temperatures to shoot up.

After exiting the game, r5apex.exe is stuck running and I can't even kill the task. I literally have to restart my PC. And of course, Steam thinks the game is still running too.

I've stopped playing this stupid game because of it.
