EA App Cannot Install Easy Anti-Cheat - Apex Legends Unplayable
- After multiple complete reinstalls, the EA app does not create C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat folder or install EasyAntiCheat_Runtime.exe
- Error in-game: "Code Anti-cheat authentication timeout"
- All attempted fixes: Complete EA app reinstall, complete game reinstall (3+ times), manual service creation, registry cleaning, factory reset command
I found the solution. Open cmd as an administrator, and then run the following three codes one by one:
- certutil -generateSSTFromWU roots.sst
- certutil -addstore -f root roots.sst
- del roots.sst

I ran only the first two commands:certutil -generateSSTFromWU roots.sst
certutil -addstore -f root roots.sst
…and Apex Legends instantly worked again (Steam version).
After days of suffering, this fixed it in 2 seconds.
You are literally a hero. I honestly cannot believe this solved it!!!!!!EA Support needs to pin this. This is the only solution that actually works.

そしていまだにApex Legendsができないままです。

I have been trying to find a solution for 3 days but nothing worked, I hope EasyAntiCheat add some error messages in the future to make it easier to trace the cause.
