Code:Pin Error.

Ever since the start of Season 8 where the Nintendo Switch version was finally released, there has been this one Code:Pin error that has persisted through Season 8 and is seemingly staying in Season 9. Internet connectivity isn't the problem, despite my room having some pretty bad internet connection through my Switch Lite. I'm wondering if the support team can find out the issue behind this error so that I can finally play this through my Switch Lite, that would be appreciated.

TL;DR: Increase your MTU Value in the internet settings of your internet up to at least 1,300, hit should work. If not, go with what I did and hit 1,450, this should get rid of the bug, and allow you to play like normal

Hello. Apparently I found the fix to the Code:Pin error. Within Internet settings, I head to the internet I usually use, going on change settings, and adjusted my MTU Value.  The MTU value simply is just how much packets of data is being sent if I iterated that correctly. The problem could be that my MTU Value was too low, at 1,000.  Adding up the MTU Value at 1,450 (for me, this may not work on other Switch devices as far as I know) apparently confirms to the servers that I have a large enough package to play the game in its entirety, at least that's my theory. The day before, I was actually able to log in and without adjusting that value, but when I tried to get in the tutorial, it sent me back, and I didn't have any luck before I adjusted that Value.  I hope this helped others as much as it did to me, and I'll probably see you sometime in the battlefield.

  • @LukeMHW Hello there,

Could you try to repair your game files?
From your switch home screen go to system settings > Select Data Management > Select Software > find Apex Legends and select it > Scroll down and select "Check for corrupt data"

If this dont work then try to clear your cache?
From your switch home screen go to System Settings > scroll down and pick System > scroll and pick Formatting Options > Select Reset Cache > select the user that you wish to clear the cache for and select reset.
(This will delete ID's passwords and more).

I have tried both of these methods and even tried reinstalling Apex, but the error continued to persist in the game. There's no corrupt data within the game itself that's confirmed and resetting the cache seemed to be a no-go. Is there anything else that I could try that could potentially work out the problem? Also the last option only says to contact Nintendo Support.
