Coins used for Gift went missing?

So just a couple days ago I tried to use the new gifting system in apex to send my friend the Wattson Kitty bundle. I paid for the coins and clicked on the gift option to selected the friend once they got online (to make sure it was indeed their account I selected to receive the gift), but they never got the bundle I paid for.

-I had my account verification turned on, we have been friends since I got the game a year ago, and we’re both well over level 10 so we did everything necessary. They have their verification on as well but nothing ever appeared in their inbox. My tokens were taken out of my account and it said I had 4/5 gifts left and when I tried to send it again it said invalid over their name, I assume because I already sent it to them. 

-Today the bundle was removed so my friend had to spend an extra $25 to get it before it left, but my coins are still gone and I’m really worried. I would very much like my money back even if it’s just apex currency as long as I can use my money that just kinda got taken that’d be nice. ☹️
