constant 80-100% cpu usage on apex

Ever since i started playing i have had this problem. changing the settings does not help at all it will lower the gpu usage but cpu wont budge no matter what. i looked straight at the ground and it went the lowest ever to 54. i have a laptop with an i5-9300h and 1650 max q. and my friend has a ryzen 5 3400g and runs integrated graphics and says his is only at 40 usually. my cpu boosts to 4.00 ghz it shouldn't be used that much constantly especially if i lower my settings

Does anyone else have this problem or a solution?

@EA_Kent I just added a second stick of ram to my laptop and I guess the dual channel just helped out with the stress on the cpu I used it for 2 days now and it works perfectly and I’m getting constants above 60 FPS after landing, although idk what the problem for the other ppl is

Hi @killcount01.

When you've got the chance could you pull up a DxDiag so we can take a look? For more info on how to get the file check out the EA Help website.

@killcount01 I'm experiencing the same issues for 2 weeks now. Playing Apex since preseason and never had any issues, but now I am loosing battlepass time because of that.

Thanks for the updates everyone!

Does it seem like this has been happening at specific places on the map, or if you're using certain Legends? Is it just constantly maxing out your CPU usage at all times while the game is running?

It does max out the CPU to 100% at all times, no matter whether you're in the menus or in the match.

@killcount01Intel I5-65003.2GHz, 16GB RAM, Geforce 1060 6GB, installed on a SSD. Even downloaded latest BIOS patch for my motherboard and it did nothing.
