Constant crash with error code 0x887A0006 (Device Hung) since season update

Hi everyone,

Since the latest season update, my game has been crashing frequently with the following fatal error message:

Fatal Error - Engine Error
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED: 0x887A0006
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG - The application's device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is a design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed.

Before this season, my game was completely stable for months without any crashes. I made no changes to my hardware or system settings – the issue started immediately after the update.

Here is what I have already tried, but none of them worked:

1. Tried three different AMD GPU driver versions: 26.5.2, 26.6.1, and 26.7.1. Each time I used DDU in safe mode to do a clean uninstall before installing the new driver.
2. My GPU is not overclocked. I even tried underclocking both the core and VRAM, but the crash still happens.
3. My power supply is more than sufficient, so power delivery is not the issue.
4. I reinstalled the game completely, but the problem persists.

My system specs:

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Motherboard: Gigabyte X670E AORUS ELITE AX
RAM: 64GB DDR5 6000MHz
OS: Windows 11 (fully updated)
Game installed on: SSD
Steam launch options: +fps_max 279 +cl_fovScale "1.7" 

What puzzles me is that this only started after the season update. Before that, everything ran fine for months. I have seen a few other players reporting similar error codes, but the usual fixes don't seem to help in my case.

My questions:

Has anyone with similar hardware (especially RX 9000 series or 7800X3D) experienced the same issue?

Is Respawn / EA aware of this problem and working on a fix?
