Game crashes with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED error
Hi, I recently upgraded my PC with the following specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D GPU: MSI RTX 5070Ti Gaming Trio OC Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi PSU: Deepcool PQ850M, 850W 80+ Gold OS: Windows 10 22H2, Build 19045.6093 (fully updated) GPU Driver: Latest NVIDIA driver 32.0.15.7688 (576.88) I’m experiencing crashes with the following error: commandline: "F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Apex Legends\r5apex_dx12.exe" -steam +fps_max unlimited -game R2 title: Fatal Error - Engine Error error: [DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED] : 0x887A0005 - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. The application should destroy and recreate the device. Initially, the game crashed to the desktop without any error message. Switching to windowed mode allowed me to see this error. My windows event viewer just displays information message: File System Filter 'EasyAntiCheat_EOSSys' (Version 10.0, 2025-06-25T08:45:25.000000000Z) unloaded successfully. The GPU logs in Device Manager show no critical errors during these crashes. I’ve tried a ton of things: Rolled back NVIDIA drivers to versions 572.47 and 576.28. Verified GPU: no issues in other games, no artifacts or black screens. Ran tests like MemTest_Vulkan and FurMark (1 hour, 99% gpu load - no errors). Lowered power limit, memory, and core clocks using MSI Afterburner. Ensured the GPU is securely connected and power cables are properly seated, including trying different PSU slots. Performed a clean install of Windows 10. Modified the registry, setting TdrLevel to 0. Tested RAM with MemTest86 and disabled EXPO profile. Stress-tested CPU with OCCT, lowered voltages in BIOS, disabled PBO and integrated graphics. Tried playing through both Steam and the EA client. None of these steps resolved the issue. This error occur randomly after 1–4 hours of play. My game settings are maxed out at 3840x2160 resolution, 165 Hz, with Dynamic Super Resolution on a Full HD monitor. I tried playing at native 1920x1080, and crashes occur less frequently but still happen. I experienced similar crashes on my previous setup (RTX 3080, Ryzen 5 5600X), but I didn’t play often enough to investigate thoroughly. Please HELP!game froze in ranked matchmaking and i got banned for it
the game froze when i was matchmaking, only from my end, client-side crash, i waited in the matchmaking screen or whatever we call it for like 10min or more, the game totally froze and hang on me, i couldn't do anything except kill the game and re-launch it, then apex does this to me, can't they just check their logs or something for what happened instead of banning me for 10min? can't they link this to the game logs? just banning mem for fun? as i was supposed to kill the game, this is stupid from your side apex27Views0likes2CommentsApex Legends Crashing Issue
Hi there. My game crashes every time I play lifeline in Ranked Matches. My cpu+gpu drivers and windows are updated to the latest version and I reinstalled the game too but it still crashes. I attached a few screenshots but can't upload the dump file that's showing in the screenshot. If any advisors are there can you give me the option to contact with you guys. Thanks in Advance20Views0likes0CommentsGot penalty for a DDOS attack
So I just queued a game and suddenly started having permanent rollbacks so I just couldn't move, my friend ended up getting kicked and then I got kicked but he didn't get a penalty although I did. I therefore lost 162 RP due to entry cost + abandon penalty. Is there a way to revert this loss ? Thank you12Views0likes0CommentsWhite screen when launching apex legends on PSN
Hey, I have never written one of these before. I’ve been having this problem since yesterday- I believe the EA servers crashed at some point. It wasn’t just me who is experiencing this. The Problem comes in where now I am the only one experiencing it still. I was told to reset apex (which I did) where I would be promoted to re-sign into EA Account, (I have not received that message) I reset my PlayStation, Switched my DSN, Unplugged the PlayStation, reset my modem, updated my apex legends, signed out of my PSN signed back in, uninstalled the game reinstalled, and even logging in on a different PSN. Nothing worked- someone please help! I really miss playing apex and don’t know what else to do to fix this!48Views2likes1CommentNetwork disconnected automatically within 1-2 minutes after opening APEX
Since the anti-cheat content was updated on June 3, I have never successfully logged into APEX again, because every time I enter the lobby for 1-2 minutes, my computer network will lose connection, no matter restarting, reinstalling the system, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, it cannot solve the problem. After discussing with other players in the community who encountered the same problem, I found a solution: This is because the anti-cheat engine updated on June 3 will identify the wireless network card of your computer's MSI motherboard as a DMA cheat, thereby banning it and leaving you without a network. At present, we believe that this malicious BUG is only for players using MSI motherboards, and the solution is: 1. You can buy a new wireless network card and no longer use the network card that comes with your computer's MSI motherboard 2. Buy a USB-network card cable and use a wired connection. But there is no doubt that both of these methods come from the inaction of the APEX production team, and I am very disappointed.Apex performance issues and the consequences thereof.
Can someone please answer (without using copy and paste from a script) the following: Why do I have to reboot my console whilst on mixtape as soon as the mode changes? For several seasons I have had much difficulty being able to play your game. Everytime the mixtape mode changes to the next gaming mode, such as TDM to Control, as soon as switching to the game start “ players joining” screen, the game completely crashes. It takes 30 seconds to force quit the app, and 98% of the time I get code:cloud and then an abandonment penalty. Currently, I’m getting nothing but 20 minute penalties. My rig is solid. 2 month old Nintendo Switch OLED. internet is gigabit fibre optics just performance tested ( for the 18th time now) by the ISP. Ethernet connection to console as well as wifi 6 app purged and freshly reinstalled after the last patch. all troubleshooting steps done on my end. This is not MY problem. Everything points to you guys. To avoid this, I usually have to reboot the console between modes. This however is only successful 80% of the time. I am completely serious that this issue has been happening even well before you switched to AWS servers. I have made several posts regarding this. My posts have been ignored even when others have shared the same concern. I really would like an answer to this question. Failing that can we please just do away with the abandonment penalties? Not fair to be punished when I didn’t cause the problem.15Views0likes0CommentsI have horrible ping on my servers
I'm Australian and I'm playing on my own servers, the one thats closest to me makes me sit on about 300 ping while the second closest makes me sit on 900 to 1000 ping, but I play on ap-northeast-1 and I get 200 to 300 ping. I've tried making sure my fps is set to 60, my xbox is always on a ethernet connection, the internet has no issues, I'm getting 110mbps download and 20mbps for upload so there's no issues there. I'm only having issues playing apex, I'll rubber band all over the place and freeze mid match I haven't been able to play in over a month so please fix the servers 😩11Views0likes0CommentsXbox series x crashes ever 1 or 2 rounds
I started playing Apex again after a half year break. But for some reason the game crashes or freezes every 1 or 2 rounds. No error code, nothing. Sometimes i get a blackscreen and get send back to the home screen, sometimes the game just freezes and i have to force close it myself and once it even shut down my Xbox. I already wrote the support but there is no fix for now from their side. I really want to get started again but it just makes no sense to play right now, if i crash out of every ranked game i play. I'd be very thankful if someone can help me rn! <3Random Crash
Hello, I recently redownloaded apex legends again on my MSI Katana 15 B13VFK but have noticed after some time ( 30 minutes to 1h ) that my game suddenly crashed with no crash repport. I have performed a DDU to make sure it is not a faulty GPU driver but this didn't help. When going into Event Viewer I see the following screenshot. I read some stuff online and have done everything and I am still having this issue. sfc /scannow does not see any problems DISM RestoreHealth the same. I am out of options and don't know what to do now. I play Valorant aswell and I never have this problem in that game. I am on the latest windows update to date. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Dear regards
