Apex Freezing on startup
Whenever I load into the game/after I click continue and I'm in the lobby. My entire game freezes after around 3-4 seconds, I have audio the entire time though and the only way to close the game is through my task manager. I've never faced this issue prior to this and would really appreciate some help. I have tried many many things like updating my graphics card, Trying new launch options. updating my BIOS, changing BIOS XMP settings, turning off Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling, Disabling E-cores, underclocking GPU, Clearing Shader cache, running Apex as an Admin and disabling Fullscreen optimizations, getting rid of overlays, verifying game files, and that's just the ones I can remember. Ever since the update in the middle of march Apex has been so buggy. First it did not want to load at all. Always crashed as soon as i entered the Lobby. I somehow fixed that by updating to windows 11, installed all my drivers anew and deinstalled an reinstalled Apex Legends. But ever since the game has been so laggy. As soon as I get into fights its the worst. Every red icon I could possibly imagine lights up, my screen freezes and I basically just die most of the times. It's become unplayable at this point. Everything is fine, my drivers are up to date, my ethernet is perfect and no other background apps. I don't get it. I tried everything. Oh and sometimes the eu-central server isn't available for me at all and then I have to play on the us-servers for some reason. My specs are Radeon RX 580 and an Amd Ryzen 5 2600-Core. Yall need to fix it period no other game has this much issues with lag especially with all the money yall are asking from us for every little **bleep** thing. I purchased 100 packs on 4/14/26 at 1:20am PST. I upgraded those packs with the red in-game currency. Then i opened all of them, and before seeing any rewards was prompted a server connection issue. So i reloaded the game, and was given crafting materials for the packs, but not a single cosmetic item was received. I am on Ps5, and my account name is CliffHuxstable. I messaged eahelp last night to recieve a case number, however was not given any additional information. I’ve had the same issue now for the last week, I’ve watched easily 20+ YouTube videos trying to fix whatever issue is going on. I have officially given in and now I’m asking for help, weirdly enough I don’t have the R5apex.exe file… not too sure why that’s not in my folder, I have done everything to try and resolve the issue. For example I tried to verify the integrity of my game files, I have checked my pc for any updates, I have checked to make sure my virus and threat protection hasn’t blocked anything, I’ve allowed all of the anti cheat software to pass through my antivirus and threat protection, I have cleared all of the cashe, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well as some other small tweaks here and there. After my game crashes it comes up with 3 different things, it says the game as crashed and I can continue or keep trying to log in however it doesn’t let me, it says something about trying to back my files up (if you need me to get the exact message can definitely get that for you guys ) and it also came up with an error message saying I had error code 30005. My APEX client has been frequently crashing after playing for a while recently, with error report 0x887A0006. I have tried almost all the methods on the internet, but none of them worked. I have also reinstalled the Windows system, and replaced the memory and graphics card. I am currently experiencing issues when every so often, maybe every few games or so. I receive latency symbols, followed by becoming frozen before getting kicked from the game. It also comes in the form of my account saying I am ineligible to play or to check my internet connection etc in the menu. This is very confusing as I have great connection, and have even tried switching region connection, running as admin, checking internet speeds etc, and I just cant seem to fix the issue. I was interested to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issues and maybe it is on EA's end. Again EA please get back to me as this issue makes it very difficult to enjoy the game and even play games as an overall expectation. I appreciate the dedication the EA team puts into fixing the issues that occurs within Apex and hope that they can assist me and others in fixing this issue.14Views0likes0Comments
