This just started happening last week...when switching game modes in the lobby, my CPU usage and temps temporarily spike. Usage hits 100% and temps shoot up above 75C for a second or two. This has caused my PC to crash multiple times in the lobby when swapping game modes. I have no issues when in game, and I have no issues playing other games like Warzone 2.0 or Overwatch.
Thanks for the reply. I can verify I don't have any pending updates for Windows or my GPU. This is only happening when I switch game modes in the lobby, I have no issues when in game or when playing any other games.
Same here! Any fix? My temp spikes up to 88-95 when changing game mode but in-game it's fine. This has been happening for over 3months now. And it only happens when playing Apex. And whenever my tamemate/host changes game mode in the lobby my temp still spike.

Happening to me as well on the 13700KF. I have no issues with CPU usage or temperatures in any other game. Only happens in apex when the game mode is changed.
