Cross platform Friend finding issue

I am on PS4 trying to add my son as a friend so we can play Apex together. He plays on Xbox. When I do a friend search he is not there. But when he searches for me he can find me. But when he sends a...

    @fireckicken1970 

    If you log into the EA Account on the account management website you should be able to view the connected accounts. If you scroll down a bit on that About Me page you'll see a Connected Accounts section. That should let you see the console accounts that have been linked with your EA Account.

I am having the same issue and request assistance. 

Me and my friend - me on a PS4 and my friend on Xbox - cannot add each other as friends from the find friend menu. We do not have the same Email address on both accounts.

When I try to find them on find friend. Nothing shows up, however when they look me up they can find me but no request comes through?

(I have also checked all spelling, capitals, and punctuation with my friend)

please advise

you can see in the 2 attachments: The 1st where his name appears in an image. The 2nd is where i search for him, and the correct name does does appear.

      Having the same issue with my sons account, completely unrestricted on xbox settings, can cross play on other games, but apex non xbox invites just never show up.
