Cross play option is greyed out.

I’m on Xbox and the option for cross play is greyed out in the settings. I have checked my Xbox’s settings and cross play is allowed and I am able to cross play on other games. I have also already reset my Xbox and still no difference. Everything I have looked up says to check Xbox settings but I know that’s not the issue. What else is there to try? In the past I have been able to play with PlayStation friends so this is a new issue for me.
