Cross progression 2025

I cross progressed my Xbox account to my PlayStation, I was in a live chat with ea support asking about when I will be able to play my higher level account. They tell me that I will receive a prompt to manually switch over. How long is this gonna take to get this prompt.

    Hello BigMac_Healthy​,

    did you unlink your one account from an EA account in order to link it to another, where the other platform is linked? 

    Progress is linked to the EA account, not the platform account, so if you relinked platform accounts, then the progression is still linked to the original EA account. Please link it back to the original account, if you want to play with that progress.

    So I had my steam account linked to my PlayStation under this EA account, then I unlinked that steam account and added my Xbox account. So to answer your question yes I unlinked my steam account to link my Xbox one (higher level) under my “BigMac_Healthy” EA so I could play the higher level Xbox account on my PlayStation.

    BigMac_Healthy​,

    you will need to link your Xbox back to the EA account that it had originally been linked to then. If you want to play the higher level account on the PSN and don't care about losing the lower levels of the PSN account, you can try and link the PSN account to the same original EA account of the Xbox.

    But when I sign into EA theough  Xbox, the account is this the “BigMac_Healthy” one. That’s why I’m confused and I tried to use the live chat with an agent but they weren’t much help. They just said wait for a prompt for cross progression.

    I'm not sure why support is telling you that you need to wait for a prompt, but that won't happen - as I said, progress is not linked to platform accounts. 

    You said that you added your Xbox account - by that you mean that you linked it to your current EA account, correct? In order to play Apex, your Xbox was connected to a different EA Account beforehand, otherwise you wouldn't have been able to play at all. Please find that account again and link the Xbox account back to it. Without that, you won't be able to play with the Xbox progression.

    One more thing though, because I linked them a couple of days ago I can’t unlink them for 6 months, is there a way I can get that lifted to I can relink them to the original EA account?

    Please contact Support and explain your situation there, so they can help you relink the accounts from their side.
