@Godisbullen Hi already tried that permission not issue. The file is writeable and not locked by read permissions. Can see it updated correctly once Apex closes. The weird thing is something else changes it back on next relaunch. So must be some other file or mechanism somewhere that's overriding the local config including the profile.cfg file. Noticed if I change jetpack from toggle to hold it reverts on next launch too.

@Sazabi888 This might be an ugly workaround, but it could do the trick.
Launch Apex and configure the settings to your liking, now, before closing Apex, change the config.cfg file to be readonly. This should prevent other applications from overwriting it.
You could also check your steam launch options for Apex. Make sure you're not executing some other config file or something like that.

- Sazabi8884 years agoNew Traveler@Godisbullen Thanks for the help and replies Tried that too unfortunately. So even if you lock the profile.cfg. it just switches back to default. So if you reload again it doesn't read the setting. Weird. 😟

@Sazabi888I've got one more thing you can try.
deleting the file "video_settings_saved_quit" in the folder of the game :" C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex\cfg"
