in another person's dxdiag i noticed alot of live kernel (LKD_0x141_Tdr:6) errors which perhaps have to do with power delivery or some kind of driver problem..
there's many video's on youtube and they all have 1 thing in common and that is to change the tdr value in windows registry.. i think if you do it you have to do it properly there are many values like tdrlevel, tdrdelay and more.. also this is a workaround not the solution to why the card is timing out (windows will timeout and reset your videocard if it doesnt respond within 2 seconds)
i don't know exactly what the problem (in my case) is. As the constant crashing startet with the fight night update I suspect it might be something they changed with the event?
Before that i did not really have any problems with crashing (on a constant basis), as the game crashed maybe once a month or so (if even)
As I have no knowledge or experience whatsoever with coding or analyzing these error logs myself I am dependent on EA to fix this, I don't want to mess up anything by doing whatever.
I have no Idea what might cause the card to time out like this.
I do not think that I am using any Corsair service display adapter and I also never experienced any problems in other games (that might have to do with power delivery)
Do you think changing values in the registry will help ? I've seen this suggestion before but as it is not a fix but only a work-around (and doesn't solve the problem) I did not implement it yet.
- 5 years ago@MurphyseSmurphy yes i advice not to touch the registry if you dont feel comfortable doing that (also might brick your system).. R4THOS also made a change and his pc crashed.. this is why this tdr is there in the first place to prevent a crash..
so the real root of tdr error wont be solved this way..
btw can u also post a dxdiag.txt?- 5 years ago
Hello,
@Konform103 thanks for your input, I don't think I will touch the registry as I do not know my way around in there at all.
here is the dxdiag, I hope it can help.
PS: just did a gpu driver update via Windows Update Center, don't know if it changed anything yet.
EDIT: the update in update center did not change anything, still crashing sadly....
Thank you for your help mate, appreciate it!- 5 years ago
Try reinstalling the GPU Drivers, use DDU to remove the old drivers. It worked for me 🙂
